People Always Ready To Indulge (P.A.R.T.I.) was organized in 1978 by a
group of single men wishing to enhance the social scene in San Antonio.
This organization, governed by Bylaws and limited to a set number of members, was
credited with changing the social scene for thousands of people looking for something fun
to do on weekends and selected weekday evenings with activities not previously available.
Activities such as new restaurant, nightclub or bar grand openings, private
parties, trips to other cities, states and even countries, and lake and coastal
events filled the calendar. PARTI was on the map as the group to look to if you were
looking for fun and a great time.
For the next several years, PARTI group functions continued to be successful, with the
focus being primarily to organize and host parties for the benefit of PARTI members and
all their many guests.
As the popularity of PARTI events grew, and with the kickoff of the first annual Fall
and Spring Tequila PARTI in the late '80s and early '90s respectfully, the group's focus
went through an evolution. PARTI began partnering with local charities at
these events to give back to our community. The name "PARTI" took on a new
meaning, i.e., "People Always Ready To Invest" as in "...invest back into
the community". To legitimize our presence, we needed a "tool" by
which to accomplish this separately from the fun activities not related to charity fund
raising events. PARTI is now made up of more married (and/or committed to a
relationship) individuals than singles.
The result was South Texas Charities, Inc., born in August 1993, which
created a highly visible and viable process for the distribution of funds to the various
charities in San Antonio, while at the same time, maintaining the PARTI identity that has
become synonymous with fun, classy events. South Texas Charities Inc.
donates thousands of dollars annually for the benefit of the community, while continuing
to provide quality social events through PARTI, creating festive atmospheres for it's
attendees to make new acquaintances and enjoy a good time.
With PARTI's Directors donating their time in support of our various functions, South
Texas Charities, Inc., PARTI plans and supports scheduled events to benefit local
charities and community activities.
Today, our two annual Tequila parties are now highly anticipated events and are held at
local country clubs and other destination locales in and around San Antonio. Holiday
parties, such as our Champagne & Schnapps Extravaganza, and specialty events fill the
calendar throughout the year. Many activities are by invitation only.
PARTI maintains a mailing list, requested by our participants, which
currently has over 4,000 addresses. Your inclusion on this mailing list is by your request only.
We do not send out unsolicited mail by U.S Mail or email via the internet.
PARTI does not make our member database available for third party use. Our mailing list is
not for sale - so don't even ask! Email us for any questions regarding the PARTI's
advertising or privacy policies.
