PARTI
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
What kinds of Charities do South Texas Charities, Inc. support?
There are a variety of charities benefiting from the funds raised by PARTI
events. They range from feeding the homeless, caring for battered or abused women
and children, disease research or animal wildlife rescue. A complete listing
can be reviewed on our Charities page. Most all of these
charities are local to the San Antonio and surrounding area.
Do you have dues?
Only PARTI Directors pay dues. All other patrons just purchase
tickets if applicable. There are some events that are FREE or only require a toy or
a cash donation at the door.
Can we now begin attending all of your functions?
You may obtain invitations or tickets from any of the PARTI Directors or you may purchase your tickets On-Line. Then just show up properly attired with
your ticket in hand. Bookmark this website and refer back often enough to keep up with
upcoming events.
How do I get on the P.A.R.T.I. mailing list?
Fill out the on-line Registration
form.
Are there any dues to be on the mailing list?
No.. There is no cost to be on our Mailing
list. You only pay for tickets to events and for food or drinks at the events.
Parking is FREE at most events.
Besides the formal social functions for fund raisers, what other
types of events does PARTI hold?
Occasionally, an additional "FUN" trip or activity may be
arranged to break the monotony of all this hard work. These "fun" events
are totally separate from the charity fund raising events and are not funded in any part
by funds raised by official events. Each participant pays for their own expenses in whole.
What are Pre-PARTI events?
Each of these "official" major events is preceded by one (or
more) "Pre-Event" Parties to provide the general public
the opportunity to obtain tickets in advance. This helps PARTI to estimate
a head count for food and refreshments. Several live bands provide a variety of
music for your dancing enjoyment. The major events are held at various locations in
and around the San Antonio, Texas area at top rated Country Clubs, Hotels or other first
class establishments. Most major events (with the exception of the Halloween Party)
are "Black Tie" affairs requiring formal attire of all attendees. Cocktail
Dress, Coat & Tie required, Black Tie Optional. Although we're in Texas, No
hats, No Jeans, No Exceptions - Heck, it's time to take that Saturday night bath anyway
and see what we look like all cleaned up. :-) Each invitation will
spell out requirements for that particular event.
Will the "Invitations" act as admittance to the events?
The "Invitation", flyer or handout, will indicate whether a
ticket purchase is required or not. Generally, "Invitations" are NOT accepted as
admittance to events. Just read the invitation or visit our website at www.partigroup.org for details. You must
purchase tickets to those events that state so on the invitation.
How do we obtain "tickets" to the events?
Invitations and Tickets can be obtained by contacting any of the PARTI Directors or attending one of the Pre-PARTI events.
PARTI Directors will be at every function with tickets. You may now also purchase your
tickets "On-Line" using your credit card.
How much are the tickets?
The cost of each ticket will vary depending on which event is being held.
The ticket cost will be printed on the invitation or posted on this website for each
particular event.
Why are the cost ($) of the tickets
so low?
We "could" charge $50.00 -$150.00 for each
ticket to raise money for a charity and the cost would include food, drink and other
amenities. However, many people would complain that they don't drink alcohol, or
they can't eat the food that is served, or some other reason that they think they are
paying for something that they don't indulge in. So, to accommodate all
patrons, the costs of the tickets were reduced and the food and drink were offered
as "ala carte", that is, pay for what you want, when you want it. This
allows us to raise funds for charities AND offer a grand dress up event to the average
middle income worker. YOU and me!!!
Is the cost of a ticket Tax Deductible?
Yes, proceeds go to legitimate charities and are tax deductible.
Save your ticket stub as your receipt. Although the ticket price may be minimal, you
may also donate more if you choose to do so. It will ALL go to charity.
